WHAT IT DOES
AEM’s EPM (Engine Position Module) replaces the factory distributor to allow the use of coil on plug or wasted-spark ignition systems. The dual zero-speed optical sensors means the EPM has immediate signal generation regardless of engine speed - allowing precise ignition timing for high-RPM engines. 

WHY YOU WANT ONE
The AEM EPM allows you to upgrade your ignition system to match the power requirements of your high-RPM, high-compression or high-boost engine. Factory ignition systems usually can not provide enough spark energy when drastically increasing the horsepower or substantially raising the RPM of your engine. The EPM works in conjunction with the AEM Twin Fire or many other CDI boxes to replace the factory distributed ignition system for a more precise and powerful spark. Can be used with any engine management system that recognizes the common 24 & 1 pattern for crank and cam signals.

PRODUCT FEATURES

Bolt on system
Simple 4 wire connection (12V, ground, crank signal and cam signal)
Manufactured from 6061 T-6 Aluminum
Output signal amplitude and waveform stay constant at all RPM
24 tooth crank, 1 tooth cam pattern per engine cycle for accurate timing and easy set up
