1985 AMG 2.3L TDO4e

Hey all, I am a noob to the ems4 and in need of guidance from an experienced user. I have a 3bar map, a 36-1 trigger wheel/VR with Ford edis4 ignition.. I want the EMS4 to run off the trigger wheel and only be used for fuel control.. What should I do? I used a 36-1 map before but what's in the computer is different.. I have cal pictures in this link

Thanks

Sounds like you simply need

Sounds like you simply need to get connected and change the cam/crank trigger that is being used to a 36-1 crank and 1 cam. It is a supported trigger that is selectable in the wizard.

Hey AEMPT, thanks for the

Hey AEM_PT, thanks for the reply.. I will attempt to connect tonight. To my understanding without a cam I cannot get stat sync.. I will select 36-1VR 1 cam but the basemap calls for a cam which I don't have..

You can load the cal and

You can load the cal and compare it to a base calibration that has 0 cam. Your injector and coil phasing will have to change along with some values on your "ADV Pickups TAB" attached is an example that is modified with the same method.  https://www.dropbox.com/s/kcs4b48yr7498na/36-1%20CRK%200%20CAM%204%20CYL%20WS%20BF.AEM20.01V24.cal?dl=0

Hey AEM_PT, I used that file

Hey AEM_PT, I used that file [thank you} and made adjustments to my cal.. I cranked the motor and checked my ignition with a timing light.. Close to 10* BTDC where I want i, seems like the trigger wheel/vr/edis 4 module are functioning.. My issue is figuring out how to get the ems4 to fire my injectors.. I posted a picture of my current cal after the adjustments and cranking it has errors and the computer wasnt reading the tooth count correctly idk why /how do I get the computer and motor to syn?

Slap me with some knowledge

Thanks -Brian

That picture shows a cal that

That picture shows a cal that's setup to receive a cam input.  If you have no cam, you need to set Sync Teeth to zero and turn the cam input trigger options off.

If you're using a dial back timing light your indicated timing values will be incorrect - they'll read twice as much as they actually are.  Please be aware of this if you're using a dial back light.

Thank you!

I made adjustments cranked it over and posted a new pic at the link below..

The "a tooth" count is way off and it's still says errors

My timing light is a craftsman inductive light. Only kind I've had experience with.. Timing is 1342 I have the injectors set to

1 18

2 0

3 12

4 6

is that correct for my 36-1?
