1zz-fe trigger

I am working on a Toyota 1zz-fe engine and thnking about the trigger that i will use 

with an Infinity 6. This engine's OEM trigger is 36-2 crank with 3 tooth on cam.

I have read that the 2jz VVTI engine has the same patern but 1zz-fe is 4 cyl engine.

Will this patern work with or i have to change something? i will post photos from

from the engine trigger disks at TDC this afternoon.

Timing pattern support in the

Timing pattern support in the Infinity is independent of number of cylinders or engine displacement or anything else.  Keep in mind that the 2JZ VVTI motor uses both VR crank and cam sensors.  The 1ZZ will need to use the same type of sensors and have the same exact cam/crank pattern in order to work with the 2JZ VVTI timing pattern.

Both sensors are VR on the 1ZZ engine.I will try it with the supra pattern.In case that this will not work

and must use the universal 36-2 + 1 cam can you please tell me how much teeth-degrres before or after

missing teeth must the cam signal occur?When is the best and more accurate for the ecu to see.

It doesn't matter where the cam tooth occurs relative to missing teeth or TDC.  Pick one, cut off the other two, and then sync the timing.  Done.

i ask because i have involved with other  ecus and they need the cam syncronization to occur

 standard degrees BTDC or missing teeth in order to syncronize ignition and injection.If you

telling me that the infinity does not require somethink like this it will be very easy to syncronize.

Yes, that is what I'm saying - no special requirements for single cam tooth relative to crank position or missing crank tooth when using Infinity.  App specific patterns (2JZ VVTI, GM 58x, etc) do have special requirements that must be met but some leeway is accepted - sometimes.

We've already done this motor
