2JZ-GE VVTi Hitting Rev Limit?

Hello,

I'm having trouble with a 2JZ-GE VVTi motor in a Lexus IS300.  It appears to hit a rev limiter at 4500 rpm but I cant find any setting that would be enabling that nor do I get anything serious for timing errors (cam0_syn1,2 on engine start-up appears normal from looking around).  My tuner basically gave up so I'm trying to hunt down the issue so I can have an actual tune completed.

Quick rundown:

AEM Infinity 508

stock motor with auto trans; using stock ECU for shifting duty

Vortech V5F supercharger

AEM 3.5 bar MAP

AEM IAT

Boomslang harness (ran new shielded harness for rear cam trigger)

Here's my log:

Here's my session file (.itssn)

Any and all help is very much appreciated!

Thanks,

sam

Try bringing the coil dwell

Try bringing the coil dwell down, your entire table is set to 5ms. 5ms is only necessary during cranking, and since you are wasted spark, you have half the time for the coil to charge between firing events as they happen every 360° rather than every 720°.

Try this table and see if the problem persists:

That did it!  Thanks a lot.  Little bit concerned that the tuner didn't catch this but glad it's sorted.  Appreciate the customer support!
