Aem Infinity 6 and nissan 350Z VQ35DE DBW

Hi Guys,

Any documentation as how to wire these parts from a 2006 nissan 350Z to my AEM infinity 6?

Im running a 1997 Honda Civic with a Turboed 2004 K20A2 with upgraded pistons and rods.
Thanks inadvance,

Mitch

So any update guys?

So any update guys?

Ive found that haltech, Link engine magagement and motec supply their users with a easy schematic.
Is it that hard for you guys to supply one?

Thanks in advance,

Mitch

So you already know the pin

So you already know the pin out for your pedal and DBW throttle body?  We don't know what pedal you're using nor do we know what the throttle body pin out is.  You may be asking yourself, if you did a plug-and-play for a 350z how do you not know the throttle body pin out?  Well, to that I would say that we know what the pin out of the stock ECU is and made our adatper harness accordingly.  We wouldn't need to know any specific component pin out because the factory engine wiring harness is already correctly wired and mated to the right connection.

If you can provide us with pin outs for your pedal and throttle body, I'm sure can make you a schematic.  Otherwise, one would just connect the DBW motor +/- pins from the Infinity (C1-61/62) to the DBW motor +/- pins on the throttle body, 5v and sensor ground to the throttle body, and TPS 1 to Analog 7 (C1-51) and TPS 2 to Analog 16 (C1-71).  For the pedal, you'd connect 5v and sensor ground and APP 1 goes to Analog 18 (C1-70) and APP 2 goes to Analog 19 (C1-69).

Does that get you what you need or would you still like a drawn schematic?

Hey NS,

Hey NS,

This gets me in the right direction! thanks!

If i bump into something ill let you know XD,

Was already making a combined pinout out of the nissan manual and the pinout from AEMs 350z PnP Harness.

Its a USDM 2006 350Z throttlebody and throttlepedal btw.

Thanks,

Mitch

Edit: I just read my 2nd update and i can see how that could have come over as a sarcastic question.
But I was really asking if there was something that i was not considering.
I was really asking if it was difficult or even possible.

Yes, very possible.  We know

Yes, very possible.  We know what pins need to be hooked up to on the Infinity (DBW +/-, TPS 1/2, APP 1/2, 5v, sgnd) - you just need to sort out where those items go for your application.  You may need to reference a service manual to find the pinouts for your throttle body and pedal.  Some times it's not always clear which is DBW + or DBW - or TPS 1 or TPS 2, etc but when you do the DBW wizard, if there's an error, it will tell you what it is.

K NS,

K NS,

This is what I got:

350Z TB PIN

350Z ECU pin-6 Infinity pin 350Z AP PIN350Z ECU pin-6 Infinity pin
1 + 5V47tps sensor powerC1-49+5V_Out 1Sensor ground82app1 groundC1-23Sensor GND
2TPS Sub69tps 2C1-71analog16 2APP1106app1C1-70analog 18
3Motor -4tps motor closeC1-62HBridge0_1 3Sensor ground83app2 groundC1-23Sensor GND
4TPS Main50tps 1C1-51analog 7 4 + 5V90app1 powerC1-49+5V_Out
5Sensor ground66tps groundC1-23Sensor GND 5APP298app2C1-69analog 19
6Motor+5tps motor openC1-61HBridge0_0 6 + 5V91app2 powerC1-49+5V_Out

So i dont need seperate grounds and +5V feeds for the AP and TB? Technically I would need 3x 5v and 3x sensor grounds. Can I just use the ones from the aux connector C1-23 and C1-49?
I already have 4x aem sensors on the aux 5v and ground (fuel press, oil press, oil temp and a 5 bar map).

I am planning to repin/repurpose the TPS and EIACV wiring from the honda K20A engine harness to the 350Z throtthle body.

This should be the last set of questions! XD

cant wait to test this out!,

Thanks,

Mitch

Ps i have a cable driven engine atm a UKDM 2004 K20A2 in a 1997 honda civic HB chassis

No, there won't be individual

No, there won't be individual 5v and sgnd pins from the Infinity going to each sensor.  They're all ganged together and yes, it's perfectly fine to use the ones supplied in the aux connector (that's entirely why they're there).  The 5v and sgnd circuits are low current reference circuits so having a bunch of different things tapped off each circuit isn't a problem.

Reusing the TPS will get you 5v, sgnd and TPS 1 to the throttle body.  The IAC is or should be 3 wire and one of which might be +12v.  You'll need to trace it back to where ever it gets its power from and disconnect it in order to repurpose it for DBW.  The other two wires for the IAC could be the DBW +/- or TPS 2 or whatever.

This image is included in the

This image is included in the full manual. Since you know your pinout it will be wired very similar to this. The only difference would be the pins on your 350Z stuff.

Sweet,

Sweet,

This is exactly what I was looking for! Seriously overlooked it!
I was focussing on the nissan stuff only.
Thanks!

And yes I'll repin the current iacv wires at the "C1" plug also.

Thanks for the support guys!,

Mitch

(No subject)

Here is a link to the wiring diagram for the vq35de dbw in a infinity 6, try to post the pic but its not working for me.
Im running this in a 2jz and had some hard time trying to find the right vq wiring diagram, But this works i bench calibrated/tested the throttle body/pedal and it works.

Ok Guys,

Ok Guys,

Almost there.

I've ordered the plug kits for the TB and AP (Thanks to JohanM! XD ) and also a TB spacer which I'll use as a flange.

I still have two questions:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/16yBuFM2y4uCnbOObJczLVmfVvGmhDNtNef5pd2U9-O0/edit?usp=sharing

1. For the TB TPS2 C1-71 is currently assigned for ANA-16 Mode SW.
What other option do I have?

2. And also I've read and also according to JohanM the + and - to the TB motor needs to be shielded wiring?
Is this correct?
Or can i get away with the standard wiring?

I hope you guys get what I'm asking XD

Thanks inadvance,

Mitch

You'll need to reassign Mode

You'll need to reassign Mode Switch to a different analog input.  TPS2 can only be Analog 16.  Using shielded wire wouldn't be a bad idea but lots of OEM wiring harnesses don't use it.

OK Cool,

OK Cool,

I guess I'll try with oem wiring 1st since its much cleaner.

If that fails I already got 5m shielded wiring standing by,

thanks,

Okay so I am wiring my 350z

Okay so I am wiring my 350z throttle body that's going on my 2j using the infinity 6. Is the pinout you showed above correct?
