AEM Releases Plug & Play Infinity ECU for 2002-'05 MKIV Volkswagen Golf/Jetta 1.8T!

Unit replaces the factory ECU, fits in factory ECU location, and installs in about 30 minutes

November 20th, 2014, Hawthorne, CA - AEM has released its Infinity-6 (30-7106) and -8h (PN 30-7108) ECUs and Plug & Play Adapter Harness (PN 30-3903) for 2002-'05 Volkswagen Golf/Jetta 1.8T racecars. When combined with AEM's Plug & Play Adapter Harness, the Infinity completely replaces the factory VW 1.8T ECU and can be installed in about 30 minutes when using the factory sensors (MAP sensor required and sold separately). A base map for the engine is included. 

Speed Density Fueling Control
The Infinity ECU does not support the factory Mass Airflow sensor. AEM offers a MAP sensor adapter harness (PN 30-3903-00) for seamless integration that provides speed density fueling control and allows users to eliminate the factory Mass Airflow sensor (MAF).

Uses Factory Wideband UEGO Air/Fuel Sensors & Boost Control Solenoid
The Infinity 1.8T Plug & Play Adapter Harness is designed to accept the factory wideband UEGO sensor, eliminating the need to add a wideband sensor to the car. The factory N75 boost control valve is supported, and the Infinity can control aftermarket boost control solenoids if added.

Full Drive-by-Wire Control
The Infinity programmable ECU for the VW 1.8T supports the factory Drive-by-Wire throttle body and can easily accommodate larger DBW throttle bodies using the DBW Set Up Wizard in InfinityTuner software.

CAN Integration
The Infinity standalone ECU features CAN integration on the MKIV 1.8T and retains dashboard functionality. Users can also view and log wheel speed and steering angle through the CAN datastream.

Traction Control
Traction control is fully tunable using the CAN based factory wheel speed sensors.

Plug & Play Harness with Expansion Port

AEM's sealed, weatherproof Plug & Play harness for the MKIV Golf/Jetta (PN 30-3903) includes an AEMnet port for communication with other AEMnet enabled devices.  An expansion port with a weatherproof 12-pin connector is included in the Plug & Play Adapter Harness for adding common aftermarket sensors including fuel pressure and ethanol content. The expansion port also includes a sensor ground, 5v reference, power from relay and switched inputs for boost target, no-lift shift, etc.

The Infinity ECU makes state-of-the-art ECU technology affordable for both professional teams and amateur racers. Built around a latest-generation 32 bit floating point 200MHz automotive processor and Real Time Operating System (RTOS), the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second).
