AEM Series 2 Honda J series PLug&Play 30-6051

Hi, I have a AEM S2 P&P for J series. The Standalone was already been unsed in another car in the past but move to a new car.

I have problems for Sensor ground, MAP & TPS sensor.

When both sensors are unplugged the sensor ground C7-C18 are 4k Ohms to ECU ground

When sensor are connected I have about 1.6V to them.

Seen like the ECU is fried to me.

it is right?

thanks a lot

Agreed, there should be less

Agreed, there should be less than 10 ohms resistance between the ECU's sensor ground pin and chassis ground pin. Those units have two circuit boards, a 'main' board with the processor and most circuitry plus an 'adapter' board that has the Honda-specific connector and some simple circuits. If the current through the sensor ground pin exceeds about 1.0 amps, there is a simple circuit on the adapter board that will burn like a fuse. Our repairs people can fix that circuit and test that the ECU is still functional, contact emstech (at) aempower.com  for pricing and turnaround info.

Hope that helps,

SB
