Aem Tru Boost not holding back boost

I installed my aem tru boost controller and works great on reading boost and etc. It will not hold back boost no matter how I adjust it. Im trying to run 10-12lbs max im running about 19lbs. Car options are 05 GTO s400 turbo. My settings on the controller are A:10 duty cycle, B:10 duty cycle, and spring pressure 1.75 because my controller will not adjust the spring pressure any higher.

I watched all 4 videos to

I watched all 4 videos to figure out the setup. I adjusted the spring pressure and duty cycle to how the video states. Still building to much boost. I unhooked the controller tonight and ran only the spring pressure of the wastegate and I saw 7psi for a 6lb spring. So my wastegate is doing what is supposed to do. Is there anything that I can look for to see what could be causing this issue. I also did call the Aem tech line also they stated to check and see what the spring pressure by the wastegate is doing.

Thanks

Mike

The spring pressure value can

The spring pressure value can be adjusted from 1.00-25.5 psi.  "1.75" isn't actually a possible spring pressure setting as the adjustment is only in tenths (1.50, 1.60, 1.70, etc).  Are you sure that you're looking at the spring pressure setting?  If you disconnect the solenoid from the gauge, how much boost do you make?  If you still make too much boost then you likely have a plumbing problem.

Hey, sorry for reviving a 6

Hey, sorry for reviving a 6 year old thread.

But I am also having a major issue controlling boost with a new tru boost unit. Set up is a stock internal gate sr20det t28, hot pipe is tapped for boost source to the Mac valve port 3, port 2 of Mac valve is plumbed to internal gate. With tru boost turned off, it's at the normal gate pressure of 7 psi. Once tru boost is activated it will not regulate boost whatsoever. Duty cycle A and B are set to 10%, OPP set to 1. Scramble boost and other features are not wired in, and have been left untouched. At these settings I am see boost levels past 20 psi. I rechecked all my wiring and I have battery voltage at gauge, and battery voltage at Mac valve through red and black wiring going to Mac valve. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
