EMS ver 1 UEGO vs. Wideband failsafe gauge

Hello All,

I was wondering if an EMS ver 1 with integrated UEGO can have the same capabilities as the Wideband failsafe guage. I wanted my tuner to set a failsafe using the wideband and he indicated this was not possible with the EMSv1. That is curious given you can set a boost-cut to save the engine, why not AFR in case of injector failure, pump failure, etc (the reson my engine melted in my last build).

The Series 1 does have an AFR

The Series 1 does have an AFR switch that some have used as a pseudo-failsafe but it doesn't have full failsafe capabilities.  The Series 1 is a pretty old and fairly outdated EMS with limited technology.  Both the Series 2 and Infinity EMS's have AFR failsafe functionality.
