Specifying custom PIDS/EPIDS on CD-7L

Hi,

I am using this dash with a Ford  TC1791 Control Pack (basically its a 15 Mustang PCM with PATS disabled and only 1 CAN channel)

The CD-7L is currently setup using Channel 2 with OBDII selected, I did the PID query and it discovered a few SAE pids.

With any Ford ECU only basic information is avaliable as broadcast packets (such as ECT, RPM), to access more critical information custom PIDS/EPIDS have to be spcified. This information is critical to log and view on the dash.

What is the process to add custom PIDS/EPIDS?

found "OBDII_PIDs_v2.obdiidefs" however, this looks like purely a definition file, and the dash does not use it with the query applet.

Thanks in advance

Accessing additional Ford

Accessing additional Ford PIDs is a process we're working on now.

Thanks for replying.

Thanks for replying.

Do you have an ETA?

I would be more than happy to BETA test, or supply information.

Allowing a user to custom specify would be the best option, imo.

It looks like you've already

It looks like you've already been in contact with our Tech Support about this - we'll work through that channel.

ZeroAviation or AEM_NS - Did

ZeroAviation or AEM_NS - Did this ever come to any resolution.  I have a similiar problem--  2013 Mazda MX-5 (ford) with a CD-5, but it's only reading the basic CAN outputs from the OBD2 port.  There are a ton more available with custom Extended PIDS (scangauge/torque pro can read them).  Here is a spreadsheet with some of the available MX-5 PIDS:  https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zh_cRuvN_xctq6TnAiIRWuEuGqjH27R7...

Any help with being able to pull these in?

Thanks!
