Startup cal tuning question

So I set all of my breakpoints, sensors,  injectors verified my batt offset etc.  I started off with the start-up calibration given to us in the toyota drop down.  Fired the car up, started, AFR's pig rich 10.0 I had to pull a lot out of this map to get the car to idle properly, even with engine warmed up still pretty far off.   It's almost double the PW fully warm.  Id think it would be much closer in the ball park?  So what would be a good approach here?  Keep scaling the whole map down until its close and then clean it up from there?  Thats sort of what I did, still working on it.

AEM v2, I just didnt expect

AEM v2, I just didnt expect the start up cal to be that far off, literally double the PW from where I'm at now.  Thats why I double checked my inj selection and the batt offset.. and its correct. 43psi fuel press verified that as well.

If the base cal was double

If the base cal was double the injector PW that you have now, then I'd surmise that you have injectors that flow roughly twice as much as the injectors used to create the base cal. What size injectors are you using?

They're ID 1000s, the fuel

They're ID 1000s, the fuel press reg isn't referenced or anything, idling its 43psi

Stock Supra injectors are

Stock Supra injectors are what, 450cc? If you have double the injector flow, you'll need half the injector pulse width to roughly achieve the same target AFR. There's a Change Injector Flow/Pressure wizard you can use for future injector changes.

True but I thought that was

True but I thought that was calculated when selecting what injector I was using hmm..

Depends on us or jdm, US they

Depends on us or jdm, US they're 550cc jdm 440cc.  So I guess that makes sense.  I did notice that the fuel table does not change when changing inj size in the wizard. hmm

When changing inj flow etc it does ask for the old inj flow size

If you read the notes from

If you read the notes from Injectors: Primary wizard, it says that it sets the Batt Offset Primary table. Rescaling the fuel map is a separate function. These are the ins and outs of pulse width fuel tuning.

Noted, I went ahead and rescaled the fuel map for the 1000cc inj on the factory calibration and the fuel map looks to be very close to where im at currently when I started adjusting the fuel table.  Interesting.  All of the video's Ive watched and teachings no ones said anything about this.  Ty for the help.. makes sense now.  Batt offset is completely different from PW I get it.

I just ran into this issue

I just ran into this issue when i installed new ID1000's.  I assumed changing just the injector changed the map. Car barely started and had plumes of black smoke. I manually scaled it down just to get an idle. Ran the wizard and it rescales it by 0.55 compared to running the stock 550s.  Went from a 5.0 on initial crank to a 2.7 so this should be very close since I manually took mine down to 2.6.

Thanks for the post.
