Universal Adjustable Fuel pressure Regulator

What is the recommended sealing method for the ports? PTFE tape, paste, copper washers or ORB fittings?

thanks in advance  :)

Sealants like Teflon tape or

Sealants like Teflon tape or paste are only ever used on tapered pipe threads. ORB fittings require an o-ring groove which the AEM FPR does not have. Crush washers would be the correct thing to use.

After much digging it appears

After much digging it appears that the feed threads are AN6, why the instructions don't say that is beyond me.  I'm in the UK where we abandoned the imperial system forty years ago so 9/16 x 18 is all alien to me.  Anyway, my question is....is it ok to use a normal AN6 male fitting straight into the body of the regulator?

I've done that but I machined

I've done that before but I machined off the flare so it doesn't protrude into the regulator body. Probably not necessary but I felt better doing it that way. A -6 ORB fitting is the more correct fitting to use. The regulator doesn't have an o-ring groove so just replace the o-ring with a crush washer.

Thats a sound tip, thanks!  i'm not sure which would be the best crush washers to use, copper or aluminium are the obvious choices but I have some bonded seals on the shelf which i'm considering using.  Have you ever seen these used?  We call them Dowty washers over here, I think you probably know them as Stat-O-Seals

I've not used Dowty washers

I've not used Dowty washers before but I'd think they'd work so long as when you "crush" the washer that the o-ring doesn't get smashed, distorted or torn. I've always used aluminum washer without any problems.
