usb serial converter. getting parity errors

I've used a sabrent and a gigaware, both worked for like a day then went ape sht and I'll get parity connect errors. Think it's the cable? If so which can I buy that'll give me no issues.

I personally use the IOGEAR

I personally use the IOGEAR one. It has never given me a problem at all.

Bought a thinkpad and got a

Bought a thinkpad and got a serial cable using no converter and still having the same errors.
